Job Description:
Alcoa is in search of an Alcoa Technical Center (ATC) Site Engineer and Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for leading Alcoa Technical Center Site Engineering and Maintenance services to achieve maximum financial benefit from Alcoa Technical Center's facilities, capital expenditures, maintenance expenditures, research and development assets, production equipment and other fixed assets (e.g., buildings and grounds). This position will report to the Director of Alcoa Technology Advantage and Defense. The primary function is to Lead ATC Site Engineering and Maintenance Services to ensure operational reliability of the research, development and fixed assets. Introduce new technology and innovation where feasible to showcase Alcoa Technical Center.
This function is responsible for providing leadership to the following:
-Logistics Supervisor
-Engineering and Design Supervisor
-Buildings and Grounds Manager
-Maintenance Supervisor
-ATC Mechanical Engineering Specialist (combustion and heating systems)
-ATC Electrical Engineering Specialist (high- and low-voltage systems)
Major activities/Key Challenges:
-Oversee Preventative Maintenance compliance and effectiveness in accordance with Alcoa Engineering Standards and ASATs
-Ensure 5S compliance, create and manage overhaul schedules for sustained performance in accordance with Alcoa Engineering Standards and ASATs
-Develop, monitor and ensure timely completion of ATC facilities infrastructure goals/action plans, both short and long term
-Assist ATC Lead Team in making operational improvements to reduce costs and to increase productivity of research and development activities
-Utilize new technology and Alcoa Business System principles to introduce innovation into ATC site infrastructure
-Plan, manage and execute capital asset program in compliance with Alcoa Technology Advantage plan and in accordance with Alcoa Financial Business Handbook, Alcoa Engineering Standards, and ASATs
-Sustain / develop network base with external engineering and equipment vendors
-Promote development cost saving initiatives (CSIs) including management of utilities and facilities
-Provide day-to-day operational leadership for engineers, mechanics, electricians, technical crafts and associated personnel
-Develop a work environment within Alcoa Technical Center that promotes trust, teamwork, quality and safety
-Assign accountability, build teams, hire, develop, evaluate, train, coach and discipline with Corrective Action as needed
-Ensure adherence to Alcoa Corporate Environment, Health and Safety policies, practices and procedures
-Ensure all regulatory compliance as applicable within Municipal, State and Federal guidelines

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
-6+ years of research, manufacturing, or production environment experience
-3+ years manufacturing plant engineering or manufacturing management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-Professional Engineering license in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
-Familiarity with Alcoa Engineering and EHS Standards, and ASATs
-Experience in the deployment of Alcoa Business System and 5S principles
