The Business Development Manager is a multi-dimensional role whose primary responsibility is to increase sales and market share.
This position reports directly to the CEO, will engage heavily with the Managing Partner. Position will also work closely with the Director, Professional Services and team.
Successful onboarding of this role will require close work with our Professional Services team within the first 90 to 120 days in order to learn our business.
Compensation will be partially tied to successful achievement of revenue metrics.
Travel: 25% of time.
Developing and managing annual sales plan and results.
· Executing and delivering on both strategic and tactical levels.
· Controlling and enhancing the brand's position and messaging effectiveness in the marketplace to attract new prospects.
· Driving development of the sales pipeline and attaining quarterly goals and sales quota targets.
· Prospecting for new customers from target account lists, as well as inbound leads.
· Qualifying, managing, and closing new business.
· Presenting and demonstrating the Cultivate System and Services to prospective customers.
· Coordinating new customer implementation plans as needed.
· Participating in consumer, winery direct and marketing events in order to network.
Maintaining authorship over all sales-related data.
Contributing best practices, collaboration and team spirit with co-workers.
Ensuring a positive prospect/customer experience.
Business, Sales and Marketing Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of business development, sales and marketing experience and results, with a proven track record in evangelistic selling to key business decision makers, selling new technology / SaaS solutions both over the phone and in the field to high end business customers.
Must possess assertive (not aggressive) "hunting" skills and demonstrate all behaviors associated with a high performance sales culture; Must be energetic, optimistic and not easily discouraged.
Must be results oriented, focused on developing and maintaining sales metrics to keep performance on track, and understand that results are the ultimate scorecard.
Must be extremely relationship oriented, win-win oriented and possess strong listening and positioning skills with the ability to understand both internal and external customer requirements and needs in order to effectively articulate options and solutions.
Must possess high integrity (will never compromise integrity in order to close a deal) and be respectful of others’ backgrounds, roots, experience, education, etc.
Must bring strong financial acumen, with a particularly solid understanding of all mechanics that drive revenues, costs and net operating income.

Effectively manages time and activities on a daily basis; can manage prospecting efforts, sales process pipeline, late stage deals, contracts, and quota to produce predictable business results.
Must have keen prioritization skills and be able to see and make appropriate adjustments based on the business’s needs.
Successful experience working in at least one small, entrepreneurial business is required.
MBA or Equivalent preferred, BA or BS minimum.
After 90 days: Stipend towards medical and dental insurance. Long and short term disability insurance. 2 Weeks Paid Vacation
