MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associate degree in Paramedic Technology or equivalent (AAS or AS). Must demonstrate knowledge of the Rules and Regulations of the DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH-OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES & TRAUMA, THE NATIONAL REGISTRY OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS AND THE COMMITTEE ON ACCREDITATION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE EMS PROFESSIONS. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills. Currently licensed in Georgia as a Paramedic, and in good standing. Certification as a Paramedic by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and in good standing. Licensed in Georgia as a Level III (paramedic) Instructor and in good standing. Minimum of three years of Paramedic field experience within the past seven years and a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching in the EMS profession. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong oral and written communication skills, organization and planning skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively.
Current Georgia Paramedic License. Current Licensure from the Office of Emergency Medical Services & Trauma as a Level III (paramedic) Instructor.
Current National Registry of EMT’s certification as a paramedic or National Association of EMS Educators EMS Educator certification (NAEMSE) and/or Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) Instructor certification.
