Provides ongoing Compensation support to clients in creating job descriptions, conducting internal/external equity analyses, and conducting the merit/incentive program processes and the long term incentive plan.
Provides first level consulting support to field and headquarters Human Resources regarding day-to-day compensation issues.
Participates in salary surveys, analyzes survey results and recommends appropriate adjustments.
Administers the annual salary planning process including calculating, analyzing and distributing incentive bonuses, merit budget and merit guidelines.
Prepares and analyzes ad hoc reports for compensation i.e. related financial information such as the review of adjustment/promotion report, bonus tracking, etc. as it relates to the company’s compensation guidelines.
Evaluates and designs jobs.
Studies/analyzes current and new positions and makes recommendations on ranges, prepares standardized job descriptions and creates job codes and titles, submits to HRIS/Payroll.
Assists manager in design and administration of long-term incentive plan.
Assists manager with Compensation Committee related work.
Conducts analyses of compensation and benefits programs in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's compensation and benefit practices.
Collaborates with Payroll and HRIS as needed to research problems, resolve issues and create processes.
Collaborates with Finance to support annual compensation budgeting process.
Process invoices on a timely basis.
Participates in or leads compensation projects as required.
Maintains up to date on best practice and developing human resources policies, programs, practices and trends.
Maintains fully informed on all compensation-related government regulations.
Compiles other types of data in support of various business initiatives.
Conducts research and metrics analysis in support of various HR projects.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or MS in HR a plus.
CCP certification preferred, SPHR, PHR, CEBS a plus.
Five or more years of increasingly responsible compensation experience.
Excellent knowledge of current compensation practices and principles, as well as labor and pay laws or regulations.
Excellent analytical, planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Self motivated with regards to performing the recurring job duties and longer term personal development.
Highly developed project management skills including team building.
Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality and discretion with sensitive company and employee information.
Strong systems skills including HRIS expertise, report writing expertise with tools such as Reportsmith, Crystal or similar packages, as well as, all Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
