Responsible for fiber and coaxial network construction and maintenance. Performs plant aerial and underground construction, maintenance and troubleshooting, in accordance with safety regulations, and company policies and procedures. Completes work assignments independently or with minimal supervision/guidance. Projects require problem resolution using standard policies and procedures. Has developed specialized knowledge/skills in own area. May act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Corodinate New Shentel fiber/coax builds with contractors to meet work schedule and ensure all construction goals are met in a timely manner.  Manager contractor activity, quality control, built mapping, timely activiation, leakage detection, sweep and certification management, and address serviceability.  Tracks and maintains any information needed to monitor contractor productivity including forcasting future construction actvity and material usage.  Prepares cost estimates, bill of mateirals, control inventory, and order eqipment as needed.  Assembles and interprets system HFC and Fiber documentation.  Act as a liaison between contractors and the porperty/business, developer/engineering firm, utility companies and state and local officials.  Engineer-Design-Build-Certify fiber links from Head ends and OTN's.  Design-Build-Certify to Shenyel commercial customers.  Trouble shoot and repiar fiber plant through-out the region.  Work with Design Departments to assure accurate Fiber/Coax plan documentation through-out region. 

Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent. 5-7 years of relevant experience required (including HFC Construction/Maintenance).  Advanced training in technical or engineering areas a plus.  Knowledge of basic fundamental drafting a plus.  Knowledge of CATV distribution systems.  Must have PC skills, Excel and Access programs.  Must posess and maintan a valid driver's license.  Good oral and written communication skills as well as good organizational skills.  Must be albe to interact with interdepartmental staff, customers and outside workers.  Ability to work overtime, as needed.  The abilty to lift 75 lbs.
