We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to employ as Substitutes. This position is part-time and on-call. Shifts are 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. These employees would work in one of our center-based programs. Our center-based programs include production, community access, and personal support and social group. Individuals in production work on assembling our potpourri products and on mail production tasks. Our community access department spends several hours in the community daily doing various job tasks, such as newspaper delivery, and the remainder of the day is filled with recreational activities. The personal support and social group concentrates on activities that are more sensory, therapeutic, and community integration focused.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide training, coaching, mentoring and counseling to adults with disabilities in the areas of appropriate work attitudes, employability, work skills specific to individuals’ employment, and social and communication skills.

We are looking for people with the following experience:

High school diploma required. Associate's degree preferred. Previous knowledge or experience working with people with disabilities in a vocational, residential, or recreational program preferred. Experience in training individuals with disabilities and person-centered-plan documentation preferred.
