Responsibilities:
· Owning overall client relationships with major technology
clients
· Identifying potential new customers and prospective contacts
within the commercial technology industry
· Consistently achieving Individual Sales Objectives and Territory
Revenue Objectives
· Developing and implementing comprehensive sales plans for
each target including understanding target's organization, internal
goals, objectives and business issues, and working with
executive-level contacts
· Working in conjunction with the Commercial Technology
group’s leader to create sales goals and timelines for each
account; prepare and follow-up on detailed proposals, which
speak directly to customer needs; and negotiate agreements that
are fair and equitable for both the client and our company
· Preparing presentations, applying knowledge of POS and
consumer data, and using data to address prospective client
needs
· Working with the corporate marketing team to develop
messages, targets, presentations and follow up on contacts for
new customer campaigns.
· Traveling to client locations to further our company’s business
objectives
· Collaborating with client development colleagues to drive the
highest level of client satisfaction with our services
Qualifications:
· 8+ years of success exceeding sales goals, experience selling to
large, complex accounts using a consultative selling process
· Experience in developing and executing strategic account plans in a team environment
· BA/BS degree or equivalent.
· Experience selling in an information-oriented business and/or Market Research, client industry experience in Business to Business (B2B) technology channels a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proven ability to analyze customer needs and goals to assist in generating thoughtful, creative proposals that exceed customer expectations and expand revenue opportunities
· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships
· Ability to successfully manage many complex prospective clients and projects simultaneously
· Excellent negotiation skills, including the art of persuasion and creativity
· Expert in all MS Office products. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
My client is a global Market Research company, seeking a Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is responsible for the overall relationship with the Commercial Technology Business Unit'Âs largest and most strategic clients, and will manage another individual focused on selling the Business Unit'Âs services to new clients. This includes developing relationships both up and across the client organization as well as leading the development and execution of the strategic account plans, and new business development. This position will be measured on new sales to Business Unit'Âs clients as well as meeting/exceeding sales objectives to new clients.
