Job Description:
We are looking for a Director to lead the Product & Market Strategy - Sustainability. The position will be located in Pittsburgh, PA at Alcoa Corporate Center on the North Shore.
This role in the Growth & Market Strategy Resource Unit reports to the President - Growth Initiatives for Alcoa. This role works closely with Business Units, Resource Units and the Alcoa Technology Center.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Develop, maintain and communicate market sector analysis including industry & market trends, forecasted market size and segments, value chain, customers, key suppliers, competitors, business models and strategies as it pertains to Alcoa’s sustainability product portfolio. Assist business units in utilizing that information for strategic planning, creating a value proposition, prioritizing product development portfolios, and other objectives to drive profitability, customer focus, competitive strategy and organic growth as it relates to sustainability.
• Advance a point of view on sustainability opportunities for profitable growth by translating data and analysis into conclusions, implications, and championing recommendations for the appropriate response and incorporation into business plans and product development portfolios.
• Identify, develop and implement selected organic growth initiatives which leverage existing portfolio expertise into new and adjacent sustainability based markets to achieve revenue and contribution targets.
• Direct marketing projects to understand and enable enterprise response to changing or emerging sustainability conditions. Benchmark best practices and present appropriate options to Business Units.
• Utilize sustainability lens to drive and influence change in the corporation, its culture, and its focus on customers and markets through the development and implementation of best practices, market and customer tools, and the development of high performance employees.
• Communicate with Business Unit, Resource Unit and Alcoa Technology Center leadership on sustainability market conditions, competitive analysis, customer collaboration and new product initiatives. Working effectively in a matrix organization will be critical to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors degree
* Minimum of six years of marketing or business experience;
* Demonstrated ability to create and implement market strategies; analysis, presentation, writing and facilitation experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Masters degree (Dual graduate degree in Business Administration and Environmental Studies (or related fields)
* Sustainability industry experience (understanding of the market, customers and products)
* Program management, design engineering, and customer experience
