POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function, assuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the position works closely with the Vice President of Operations in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing human resources policies, programs, functions, and activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Communicates regularly with management about Department issues
- Communicates changes to personnel policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed
- Acts as liaison between home and corporate offices
- Assists executive management with annual review and preparation
- Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms
- Administers employee record-keeping and confidentiality
- Administers employee orientation, development, and training
- Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews
- Consults with corporate executives as appropriate, and/or as directed by the Vice President of Operations, on personnel matters and provides HR guidance when appropriate
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development
- Supervises the staff of the Human Resources Department
- Oversees the Development of the affirmative action program; EEO-1 filing report annually
- Maintains the Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database
- Maintains and/or oversees company’s benefits
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Assists management with the recruitment for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees
- Works closely with the Director of Security and assists with safety compliance
- Oversees workers compensation
- Oversees TOR, attendance, and counseling tracking
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
- Performs duties as workload necessitates
