Electrical Apprentice

Essential Job Functions:
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
  • Test electrical systems (electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures) using multimeter to ensure compatibility and safety of systems
  • Plan, layout and install electrical system based on job specification and local codes
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Install, bend and paint electrical conduit ensuring aesthetics are met to customers standards
  • Plan and layout and installation of electrical wiring
  • Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things; bend tubing or conduit.
 
 
Job Requirements:
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to provide your own transportation in the form of a truck or van that will allow you to transport electrical equipment, ladders, etc
  • Must have 2 years or more of residential/commercial electrical experience
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, ammeters, and multimeters
  • Ability to climb ladders, and scaffolding,
  • Knowledge of walking on all types of roof surfaces without damaging roof surface
  • Experience installing/stringing electrical or electronic cable or wiring
  • Ability to move or lift heavy objects
  • Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things; bend tubing or conduit.
  • Ability to fabricate, assemble or disassemble manufactured products by hand
