Ultimately, we're helping the system run smoother so that healthcare works for all of us. Current Need The position of Enterprise Program Executive (EPE) has recently opened on our Services Team. The EPE is effectively working under the guidance of the customer's leadership and will become engaged in efforts as requested by that leadership that are validated by McKesson leadership. It is customer's intent to utilize the EPE to facilitate implementation and support of McKesson products.
Location: New Jersey - or east coast location in a large metro area, with extensive travel to New Jersey. Position Description Collaborate with the Enterprise Account Executive (AE), the McKesson Executive Sponsor (MES), and the customer CIO as requested to expedite the work of customer and the building of relationships between the MES and selected members of the customer Senior Management Team.
Understand status (timeline and significant issues) of all customer projects that relate to McKesson products. Provide a monthly status report to account team as well as both McKesson and customer management.
Act as a facilitator / advocate / escalation point for any McKesson related product (either as part of a project or support issue) as required. Represent customer¿s viewpoint in these discussions.
Collaborate with the EAE to communicate significant events concerning McKesson and McKesson products to customer management (both IS and non-IS) as appropriate, e.g. product announcements, organizational changes, etc.
Assist with planning efforts related to future projects.
Understand McKesson future strategies and identify impact on customer, as appropriate.
Communicate changes in McKesson technical direction and facilitate presentations of McKesson technology roadmaps, as required.
Participate in customer Steering Committees related to McKesson products upon request from customer management in consultation with IS management.
Ensure that any new McKesson resource receives an introduction to customer.
Act as an escalation point for ineffective performance of any McKesson resource performing in an implementation or support role.
Serve as a single point of contact for customer IS to navigate McKesson¿s organization related to support, development, implementation and technical areas.
Maintain a relationship with IS and Clinical Informatics (CI) leadership and staff in all areas including periodic visits to their offices.
Ensure that all issues that the EPE tracks receive the appropriate level of communications and follow up.
Participate in post mortems as appropriate and follow up on assigned action items.
Periodically review the list of open McKesson / customer support tickets and ensure that tickets are being addressed appropriately.
Have an understanding of functionality of the customer McKesson applications and key points of integration.
Support Clinical Informatics (CI) work in a manner consistent with the role of CI. Work with CI will be fully vetted with the EPE reporting relationship in IS to assure support.
Communicate a monthly travel / vacation schedules to key contacts Minimum Requirements 6+ years experience in consulting, complex project management, and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems including 2+ years managerial experience.
Experience with multi-facility hospital corporations and IDN¿s preferred.
4+ year¿s tenure with McKesson. Including experience with all MPT applications implementations and integration.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Ability to assess customer needs and objectives, expanding service solution focus beyond the core services
Strong knowledge of implementation methodology and requirements by application
Ability to develop and position customer-specific timelines, resource and education requirements, prerequisites, interfaces, conversions, etc., required for a solution-oriented implementation approach.
Ability to creatively position application dependencies across complex, multi-phased timelines
Ability to develop customized views of customer and McKesson resource requirements.
Thorough knowledge of health care industry.
Excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.
Thorough understanding of McKesson product offerings and product integration strategies
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Strong business and sales acumen needed
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
