COMPANY & POSITION OVERVIEW

Our company is conducting the search for an Environmental Scientist for an Oil and Gas services company located in the Greenspoint Area of Houston. This position will coordinate all aspects of environmental programs, permits, and overall compliance with Federal, State, Local and Corporate requirements relating to recordkeeping, reports, training and other related concerns. This position will have 30%-40% travel to sites.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

·         Knowledge of EPA and state processes and requirements with experience  in reading, interpreting and implementing regulations

·         Prepare accurate and effective communications and reports

·         Ability to read and analyze common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents

·         Reporting, inspection, testing, permits and audit responsibility

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Soil Sciences, Geology  or similar technical studies

·         5+ years of industry experience with emphasis on oilfield related regulatory affairs, compliance matter, exploration and production waste management and remediation techniques and processes

·         Must have excellent writing skills (writing samples required)

·         Must have strong Excel experience (pivot tables)

·         Project management experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

·         Oilfield operations experience

·         Phase 1 audit

·         ISO 14000
