Firewall Security Engineer

We are seeking a Security Engineer for a 2 month project. The candidate will be working on a datacenter build out project and will be responsible for supporting infrastructure for many critical financial applications. The contractor will work with both the Client’s Infrastructure and Information Security personnel.
 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and deploy Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls, Intrusion detection/prevention system and networking equipment at the new datacenter.
• Research and coordinate migrations of existing security rules to new firewall platforms and infrastructure. 
•  Provide ongoing operations support including configuration changes, infrastructure enhancements and upgrades
• Provide advanced support for enterprise firewall management
•  Ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), change management policies, and security policy
•  Experience with other system’s infrastructure including firewalls, switches/routers, load balancers, DMZ networks, proxies, and DNS infrastructure a plus

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience with Cisco firewall, VPN and IPS platforms as well as Checkpoint firewalls 
•  Experience deploying new infrastructure and migrating existing security boundaries and firewall rules highly desirable
• Security and Information Technology Certifications (e.g.: CCNP or CCIE in Security, CISSP, GIAC desirable) 
•  Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or IT field
•  Minimum of 4 years of job related experience
•  CORP to CORP  or 1099  NO 3rd PARTIES
•  2 month assignment with a prestigious
