HIM Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:


Manages the operations of the Health Information Management department in the absence of the Director. The HIM Manager is responsible for planning and organizing available resources in an efficient manner, staying current with new technologies, and communicating new knowledge and information to medical records staff in a timely manner.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Education:

Associate Degree, Health Information Technology; BS Degree in Health Information Management, preferred.


Minimum Experience:

3 years supervisory experience


Registration:

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred

American Health Information Management Association


Skills:

Good communication, assessment, and organizational skills
