Job Description:
General
Reporting to the Plant Manager the Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for the administration and coordination of human resource activities throughout the operation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Program. In this position you will have an interactive role with Superintendents and Supervisors providing support and leadership for all employees on the site.
Major Duties:
-Development and coaching support for staff and employees
- Recruitment of hourly and salary employees
- Administration of the Collective Agreement and Local Agreements
- Administration and coordination of the Occupational Health and Safety Program
-Manage and coordination of the Ability Management Program
-Administration of salary and hourly benefit plans
-Facilitation and conflict resolution support at the division
-Site environmental contact/coordinator
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise:
-Proven ability and experience in labour relations and administration of collective agreements
-Possess good negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills
-Ability to provide timely, accurate and relevant HR advice as it relates to HR policies and practices
-Experience in managing OH&S and Ability Management Programs
-Proven ability to work as a team player
-Effective communicator with strong written, verbal and presentation skills
-Strong interpersonal skills and able to provide leadership in non-reporting relationships
-Certified Human Resources Professional designation will be considered an asset
-Three to five years of Human Resources experience
-Must be eligible to work in Canada
