    Job Description:

    Seeking IMMEDIATE HIRE:

    We currently have a 6 month assignment with possible extensions for an Interactive Marketing and Communications Specialist open with the HR Operations Organization.

    Location: Newark, NJ
    Target Start Date: ASAP
    Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years

    Scope of Work:
    The Interactive marketing and communications specialist is part of the HR operations team and reports to the VP HR Service Delivery. This person coordinates website communications, messages, and content and proactively ensures that the employee portal maintains fresh content and relevant messaging. In partnership with the digital technology team and individual content owners, this position continually identifies and implements new strategies to increase the site’s messaging effectiveness and resulting employee engagement. They are using Portal and Vignette applications to render My Prudential.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Leveraging new interactive features to increase employee usage of the site
    • Demonstrate thought leadership and drive the creation of strategic messages
    • Collaborate with content owners to ensure consistently accurate and updated
    information
    • Evaluate and propose interactive messaging and communications strategies in
    line Strategic Business objectives
    • Post web content updates using Vignette and maintain a web editorial calendar
    consistent with editorial and design standards
    • Evaluate web content and leverage emerging web technologies as appropriate
    • Conduct regression testing and user acceptance testing to ensure an effective
    User Experience
    • Analyze online metrics to establish key success metrics as a basis for driving
    change.
    • Utilize project management methodologies to effectively implement new site
    features, content and functionality.

    Experience and Skills:
    • 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience with web communications, content management and editing
    • Demonstrated professional experience and skill in marketing/communications, web editing and writing
    • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships across multiple cross functional partners.
    • Strong influence management and collaboration skills
    • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and drive results across numerous complex initiatives
    • Demonstrated ability to seamlessly balance business partner needs against user experience and technical feasibility
    • Superior organizational skills to help develop and optimize process
    • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively in a cross-departmental team
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical business clients
    • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and juggle multiple projects/priorities,
    • Exceptional communication, business writing and editing skills
    • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving business demands.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing, technical writing, communications or related field. HR knowledge desired
    • Working knowledge of Web development tools including Content Management
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    * Must have extensive experience working as a Web Content Specialist and has
    worked with Vignette and Portal Systems.
    • Photoshop and Flash experience preferred
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
    • A passion for the digital space
    The client is looking for someone who has extensive experience working as a web content specialist, and has worked with vignette, and portal systems.



    Working knowledge of web development tools is needed.
