Job Description:
The selected candidate will work closely with customers in the development of
product designs for automotive components of tooling and mass
production using CATIA (Computer-Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive
Application) v5 skills. They will analyze and determine specifications,
evaluations and applications of engineering options to produce models
and drawings and resolve design issues using primarily CATIA (Computer-Aided
Three-Dimensional Interactive Application) v5, a computer-aided design
(CAD) tool used for designing and development of products.
It is required that the Staff Engineer be able to prepare technical drawings of
automobile designs including: interior, exterior and body components.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years applicable work experience (or 8 years
total experience) at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier. Candidate must have strong
CATIA v5 modeling, layout and drawing skills.
The most successful person will have the ability to engage in high-level
discussions and corrective action with regard to packaging requirements,
interference issues and tooling issues.
