Java / PHP Developer

TapIt! Media is seeking talented, creative and motivated individuals to support our software development efforts. Responsibilities include the design, development and support of software and business critical systems for our various product offerings.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop software for key system components including ad server, reporting,optimization, and analytics
Assist in the design and development of new services in accordance with technical roadmaps
Support operations engineering staff with troubleshooting
Communicate project status to stakeholders throughout the business
Perform other activities and duties as requested

Skills:
Detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and test software using industry best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
Comfortable in a small, intense start-up environment
Ability to manage one’s own time efficiently

Experience:
Experience coding with Java.
Strong knowledge of LAMP stack technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Strong knowledge of database design and performance tuning
Good design sense and experience developing/debugging customer facing web applications
Experience with Amazon AWS services (EC2, S3, etc)
Good knowledge of web applications and application servers, and RESTful web services
Experience with ad serving platforms and scalable, high-volume web applications a plus
Experience with MongoDB a plus

We are headquartered in Irvine, CA. This position is for our branch in Rockville, MD.... walking distance from the Metro.
