Position Description:
Analyst with technical background. Will need business acumen and the technical expertise to validate data and describe a story it is telling. Product Reporting and Performance through the changes, category and geography are required.
Will building the foundation, navigating through data sources and creating reports. Should understand and know the data. Will capture the data, understand and define. Take the information and report in Cognos and work with IT to schedule and automate the report.
The database is Oracle 11i, toolsets include - SQL, Cognos, Query Studio, Business Insite, Advance, Tableu and visual graphing software. Hyperion Brio/Explore are used. Need to read existing reports and move to Tableu (MS Access, Excel).
Will interface with stakeholders, PC leads, Product line Manager, Supply Chain, Oracle Managers and GM of Business.
Responsibilities:
Process routine, established reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) needed to manage day to day business
Transition and enhance existing reporting from Brio to Cognos
Manage on boarding of new reporting system (Tableau)
Create interim self service solutions (Access, Macros) for frequently requested data that the broader team does not have regular access
Required Experience:
Minimum of 8 years experience in complex database environment supporting multiple production databases.
Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, including timeline scheduling of tasks, people, and scope.
Advanced Excel and Access skills required
SQL required
Cognos preferred (if strong in SQL, can learn Cognos)
Brio preferred
Tableau preferred
Overall tech savvy and ability to work across multiple data sets in multiple systems. Business acumen in which one can validate reasonability of data and indentify anomalies and trends.
