MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Job Description:
GLFHC is seeking a visionary leader in primary care to join the Medical Administration team as the Medical Director. This is an opportunity to join a successful, established and well respected Community Health Center within the heart of the Merrimack Valley in an outpatient focused role with 60% administrative and 40% clinical duties. This position is responsible for providing administrative, organizational, and technical support to the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center’s Chief Medical Officer to ensure optimal lines of communication, and promote/implement effective management of various programs and areas of responsibility. The purpose of the position of Medical Director is to assist the Chief Medical Officer in the leadership of GLFHC medical functions as delegated by the CMO, including acting on behalf of the CMO in his/her absence, serving as the GLFHC Medical Quality Officer, assisting with financial management of medical functions, and leadership in the oversight of supervision processes for Clinical staff. 
Qualifications:
Candidates must have current Massachusetts MD/DO licensure (board eligibility/ certification in Family Medicine preferred) with at least 5 years of clinical primary care experience, preferably in a CHC setting. MBA or MPH preferred.  Five years experience in medical administration is required including a history of bridging proactive relationships and creating partnerships among clinical staff and members of a Senior Management team. The skills required for success in this position include clear communication and presentation skills, ability to think strategically and tactically, talent to successfully work on cross-functional teams, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize projects.
