This position will be partner with the project team to oversee fabrication, installation, start-up, and launch of manufacturing equipment for production of lithium ion battery electrodes (roll-to-roll coating and converting operation).
After start-up, this position will have responsibility for manufacturing engineering, process improvement engineering, reliability engineering, project engineering, and maintenance (excluding utilities and building & grounds).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a member of the plant Leadership Team.
Build the team of engineers and maintenance professionals, and create an organizational structure and work design aligned with the needs of the plant.
Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
Define the manufacturing processes, and develop robust control plans.
Own standard operating conditions and process control on all manufacturing equipment.
Own the yield, quality, reliability, uptime, and productivity performance of all manufacturing equipment.
Create and manage all maintenance processes, and implement requisite systems.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: B.S. degree in engineering / Minimum of ten years hands-on manufacturing experience / Minimum of three years experience managing engineers / Minimum of three years experience in the maintenance function, with knowledge of advanced predictive maintenance technologies. / Experience with high energy dispersion mixing or with coating web-based substrates (roll-toroll coating) / Thorough knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools.
PREFERRED CREDENTIALS: Six-Sigma black belt, Start-up experience, APQP and TS 16949 experience. Experience with continuous processes
