Maintenance Unit Leader-Die

The Maintenance Unit leader is responsible for supervising and directing hourly skilled tradesmen in maintenance (die/press area), die tryout, and repair of major stamping dies including sub assembly, progressive and/or blanking dies. Maintaining World Class Manufacturing initiatives is a very important part of role.

Basic Qualifications:
Journeyman Die Maker status or Bachelor degree in related technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience preferred. 3-5 years related experience in a stamping environment including die construction, tryout and /or maintenance work activities
Hemmer experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and union
Knowledge/understanding of WCM and the ability to use WCM tools desired
Experience in a union (UAW) environment desirable
