Up to $130k in a base salary plus bonus and great benefits.

Summary:
The Manager of Web Application Administration is responsible for managing medium to large infrastructure web hosting projects and staff within the web tech department. He/she will manage resources including budget, staffing and project management. The Manager will also be responsible for working with internal and external resources including vendor relations. The Manager must be able to identify, respond and solve problems. The Manager must stay abreast of new technologies and industry standard as they relate to the web environment.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science desired. All candidates must have 2 years of Management experience and 3-5 years’ experience administering/providing systems support on one or more of the following technologies:
1. Content Management System such as TeamSite or Vignette,
2. Oracle databases, an understanding at the system level and some DBA experience.
3. Web 2.0 technology such as Social Network, Java, PHP, Mashup, Perl, AJAX, XML, and Flash.

Applicants must have strong knowledge on Networking, DNS, security, internet and application server architecture. Applicants must have experience with Apache, WebLogic or Tomcat as well as Sun OS and/or Linux operating systems including file systems, performance analysis, tools (such as telnet, ssh and FTP), paths and permissions, and shell scripts to create or modify interfaces with applications.
This position requires project management and staff management skills. Also requires very strong troubleshooting skills (problem solving), analytical abilities (logic/reasoning), and systems/application analysis. Strong written and verbal communications, time management and interpersonal skills are a must.
