Client is a leader in the design and manufacture of conventional and intermodal transportation equipment (truck trailers) in the United States. It offers grain haulers, vans, domestic containers, container chassis, platform trailers, converter dollies, flatbeds and parts for sale in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The company was founded in 1961, is privately owned and growing quickly. They have 7 plants in Wisconsin and have approximately 900 non union employees.
The Master Scheduler reports to the VP of Manufacturing and is responsible for 1) Reconciling the interests of sales, engineering, and manufacturing into a reasonable and attainable master production schedule which will drive all production and related activities of the company 2) Estimating long-term demands of material, requirements and production capacity ad 3) Building a master production schedule based on firm customer orders and forecast using planning BOM’s and production plan.
This position is responsible for production over five plants.

Education, Knowledge and Skill:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
5 – 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office application
Understanding of materials and lead times.
Understanding of MRP- what it does and how to use it.
Understanding of company goals- both short-term and long-term.
Understanding of capacity planning and resource planning.
Understanding of all facets of the company and the product it builds.
