Our client is seeking a Medical Lab Equipment Engineer for a 11 Month Contract. This position is with a major international firm, and is in their Healthcare - Diagnostics - Chemistry/Immunoassay, Automation, Diagnostics IT business unit.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The person will be operating Medical diagnostic instruments to verify their reliability
- These instruments perform medical diagnostic tests (eg disease, drugs etc) on pseudo patient samples
- Day to day task involves preparing the medical instrument, preparing the pseudo patient sample tubes, feeding the tubes to the instrument, preventive maintenance, quality control, operating the instrument using a computer based software, maintaining/troubleshooting the instrument, analyzing basic failures and reporting the failures to the design engineers
- Training will be provided for the instrument
- Following instrument test protocols and procedures is essential for this job
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires someone with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology with laboratory experience
- Proven ability to operate Medical diagnostic instruments to verify their reliability
- Experience performing medical diagnostic tests (eg disease, drugs etc) on pseudo patient samples
- Following instrument test protocols and procedures is essential for this job
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows is expected
