Merchandise Coordinator

Have an extraordinary chance to get in on the ground floor at Stitch Fix. The Merchandise Coordinator collaborates closely and frequently with our Merchandising team. You will be the eyes and ears of the Merchandise Team, responsible for ensuring that product arrives as promised and serving as the face of Stitch Fix when working with vendors.

Your primary responsibilities will be…
- Ensuring quality in product that arrives from vendors
- Communicating to our merchants in the headquarters
- Partnering with the buyers on merchandise
- Preparing and organizing inventory to be tagged and cataloged
- Use judgement and knowledge on fashion, style, and construction to code and categorize inventory in our database
- Work with external vendors to ensure product is delivered on time and meets Stitch Fix's quality standards.

We’re looking for someone who…
- Has at least a year of experience working within the merchandising group at an established retail company
- Smart, driven, and excited to learn
- EXTREMELY detailed oriented
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)
- Prefer previous experience using Polyvore.com
- Deep understanding of apparel construction, fabrics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communicator
- Manage the Return-To-Vendor process
- Polished and comfortable working with vendors and other external groups
- Is hard-working and solution-oriented
- Is comfortable handling and moving up to 50 lbs of merchandise at a time
- Is flexible and able to multi-task
- Having sense of urgency
- Is stylish, creative, and can put outfits together
- Is independent and able to work with little direction on occasion-- the role will be primarily in the warehouse where you will frequently be the only member of the merchandising team

You’ll have to be…
- A college graduate
- Preferably local to the Bay Area

- Located primarily in our warehouse at 3rd and Folsom but also spending time in our Market St. HQ
- Competitive Compensation
- 90 Day Contract position which converts to full time with benefits and options
