Sr. System Support Analyst - Oracle DBA

CITIZENSHIP STATUS:

This is a Contract-to-Perm opportunity. Candidates need to be an EAD, Green Card Holder, or US Citizen.

CANDIDATE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:

-- Experience installing and maintaining Red Hat Clustering

-- Experience with media manager products such as Tivoli

-- Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle database environments

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Oracle database environments.

-- Support Oracle 9, 10 and 11 in Aix, Solaris and Linux environments.

-- Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required.

-- Experience installing and maintaining Red Hat clustering.

-- Apply Critical Patch Updates as required.

-- Make necessary database modifications to respond to audit findings.

-- Write shell scripts to automate database maintenance functions.

-- Ensure database availability.

-- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.

-- Have experience with media manager products such as Tivoli.

-- Implement, test and maintain backup and recovery solutions. (rman, datapump etc.)

-- Provide support for java developers in an agile development environment.

Manager could convert this contractor to permanent after six months, assuming performance, etc. is in line with expectations.

Bachelor Degree in Comp Sci, IT, or other job related degree OR 4 yrs combined job related education & experience OR extra 4 yrs related experience Required      

Technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming exp OR other job related IT experience Required 9 Years  

Solaris Nice to have 3 Years  

AIX Nice to have 3 Years  

SQL Required 5 Years  

Tivoli Nice to have 2 Years  

Experience installing and maintaining RedHat Clustering Required      

Experience with media manager products such as Tivoli Required      

Experience installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining Oracle database environments Required 8 Years
