PART/FULL TIME FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST/ TRANSCRIPTIONIST FOR MEDICAL OFFICE WANTED – Mesa (East Valley)

We’ve decided to bring another person on board! We have an immediate opening for a flexible office receptionist/transcriptionist. As the front office receptionist, you will be the first person to greet/check-in the patient and it must be done with a smile! We are looking for someone to fill in full-time while the other receptionist is on vacation and then come 2-3 times a week to do basic check-out and transcribing.

Front Office Experience is REQUIRED and prior experience with an OB-GYN practice is preferred. We are looking for a TEAM PLAYER with the following skill set:

• Certified Transcriptionist
• Call in to the insurance companies to verify the patient’s insurance, coverage date, and other information
• Accurately input patient and insurance demographics (knowledge of UNIX operating system is a plus)
• Understand deductible scales and Collect Co-pays
• Learn scheduling/ appointment methods
• Check patients In/Out
• Verify appointments
• Answer basic questions about our services
• Knowledge of most insurance carriers, including Medicare and AHCCCS
• Bi-lingual a huge plus!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, trainable, focused, detail-oriented person who is capable of calming the patients when the office gets busy! Pay is DOE.

A little about us: We are a 30+ year old private practice with two locations in Mesa. There are four doctors who rotate offices, so some days in the office are busier than others. The office operates on the UNIX operating system (prior experience is a plus). We operate under the philosophy that all members of the office pitch in where necessary. We are a feel-good environment and want our new addition to be part of our customer-oriented team!

Office Hours are 9 am – 5 pm, although your hours may vary slightly (typically from 8:30 am to 5 pm) while the other receptionist is on vacation and to allow for insurance verification & open/close of the office. The hours will then go down to part-time, and we can be flexible with your schedule!
