Physician Assistant - Intervention Radiology

A large, beautiful facility seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Radiology Assistant (PA or RA) with IR or Surgical experience to work in their Imaging Interventional Radiology department.

Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

Performs tasks as directed by the supervising physician. Performs only those tasks he/she is capable of and within the scope of the supervising physician. Will comply with all hospital by-laws, rules and regulations. Has all entries in the medical record must be co-signed by the attending physician. Also takes direction from department director. Prescribe Category III and above drugs as indicated by state/federal licensing. Implement telephone orders for Category II drugs when a standing order is present. Provide orders under supervision of physician during assigned “on call” duty.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed a program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education of the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education for the training of Physician Assistants; or Education programs on the Armed Forces of the United States, Public Health Service, or their successor agencies which meet the criteria specified by NCCPA Successfully passing National Certification Examination Maintains required 100 CME hours every two years as required by NCCPA to maintain certifications status.
