A leading Chicago area General Contractor - Construction is seeking to add several Project Engineer positions to support projects in pre-construction that total over $1 Billion in potential revenues.
The company maintains a backlog that exceeds $500 million with select commercial and institutional clients in the Chicago market.
Projects include healthcare/hospital, hotels, office buildings, institutional, senior living facilities, etc.
Primary Function Work directly with customers, architects, and subcontractors. Assist in project management and construction supervision efforts. Manage and coordinate submittal, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and document control activities at the job site. Help ensure customer, architect, and subcontractor expectations are exceeded.
Intangibles Exposure to the entire pre-construction and construction process is a high priority for people in this role.
Education Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combination of related experience and technical training.
Requirements Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline, and computer software. Ability to assume responsibility and interface well with the project team. Strong communication, organization and leadership skills are essential.
Compensation $55,000 to $65,000 annual base salary commensurate with experience. Bonus program and a comprehensive benefits package.
