Job Description:

Goldbelt Wolf, LLC is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) that provides high quality, cost effective service and product solutions to government agencies, international organizations and commercial customers. Our success is based on our experienced, dedicated team, flexible programs, committed partnerships and our passion to serve our clients, shareholders and employees.  We are looking for a Proposal Manager to work in our Alexandria, Virginia, location.  This individual will manage and have a hands on approach on all proposal efforts (cradle to grave involvement) communicating with all proposal participants (including but not limited to subcontractors, teaming partners, and support staff).

 

Responsibilities include:

 

·         Lead the preparation of proposals.

·         Coordinate with Business Development and Capture Manager to understand business plans.  Conduct strategy sessions to develop win strategies and themes, identify and assess competitors, and develop client hot buttons.

·         Perform detailed RFP analysis.

·         Create compliance matrices.

·   Develop a detailed proposal plan, schedule, and outlines/templates to control proposal development.

·   Write proposal sections from scratch or by using standard templates.

·      Format, tailor, and edit resumes and past performance write-ups.  Draft graphics.

·         Proofread documents for clarity and compliance.

·         Manage large volumes of documents.

·      Perform substantive reviews of both text and graphics, ensure the assigned writing sections comply with RFP requirements, contain win strategies and win themes, and comply with standard format and style criteria.

·      Contribute to the development of standard proposal-ready content (boilerplate) for use in future proposal development efforts and capturing any new language written for addition to the proposal database.

·         Act as coordinator, communicating with all proposal participants (including but not limited to subcontractors, teaming partners, and support staff).

·    Track and report status of all proposal elements to business development.

·         Attend win/loss debriefings and develop lessons learned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, or any technical study (such as Engineering) is required.

·         7 or more years’ experience as a professional Proposal Writer.

·         Must have experience with Federal Government proposals and prior experience in government contracting.

·         Strong knowledge and experience in Federal Government contracting, standard Federal RFP organization, statements of work, proposal instructions, and evaluation criteria.

·         Possess formal experience writing, editing, and formatting proposals for US Federal Government opportunities.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

·         Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team leader.

·         Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

·         Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management.

·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously for parallel proposals.
