Manages direct buying responsibility based on vendors or classifications and accountability for sales and margin performance within a product division against plan.
Opportunistically purchase highly compelling, quality, branded goods that represent an incredible value and inspiration to our customers.
Prioritizes preservation of liquidity. Partners with our clients associates and planner to mange Open to Buy on a 90 day and seasonal basis.
Manages receipts in terms of balancing assortments and flexing from flow verses pack-away; effectively alters receipt flow based on business trends.
Analyzes business performance daily and weekly. Promptly reacts to changes in the business. Attacks slow selling product with aggressive pricing action.
Manages pricing decisions, in partnership with our clients associates, to achieve competitive position plans.
Shops all competition stores regularly identifying opportunities, labels, and trends.Builds Relationships:

Responsible for proper liquidity management. Maintaining available monies for unexpected opportunistic buys. Ensures adherence to Purchase Order Mgmt policy (timely processing of P.O.'s).
Works with Planning and Allocations team to set financial goals, including pre-season plans, based on historical trends and current business data.
Participates in pricing strategies, merchandising and flow through strategies based on current data and trends; makes recommendations for improvement.
Effective inventory management; including receipt of goods, pack and hold, markdowns, etc.
Oversees advertising and promotional programs.
Remains abreast of current fashion and consumer trends; share findings with internal teams to maximize sales and profit results.
Responsible for supervising and development of staff, including Assistant Buyers, and Associate Buyers.
