QC CERTIFIED WELDING INSPECTOR

BASIC FUNCTION:
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician for Quality Control Inspector position. The NDT Technician will perform NDT testing of material and welds using visual, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect product for compliance with ASTM D1.1
- Inspect product in accordance with manufacturer's quality regulations
- Post Galvanizing Toe Crack Inspection
- Inspect product to assure compliance with customer's specific requirements
- Photograph specific loads per customer and manufacturer's criteria
- Complete required inspection documentation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate
- ASNT Level II in Ultrasonic Testing (SNT.TC.1A)
- ASNT Level II in Magnetic Particle Methods (SNT.TC.1A)
- 2 years of experience in welding and/or inspection
- Ability to read and terpret production drawing, specifications, and codes
- Must be knowledgeable in welding fabrication processes
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- Experience in Post Galvanizing Inspections for compliance with ASTM 123
- Knowledge of ASTM A 780
