This position is responsible for providing care to the patient who is hemodynamically unstable and requires complex monitoring of multiple systems and/or nursing interventions every one to two hours. *Provides continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention. *Initiates and titrates multiple, complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses. *Manages intubated/mechanically ventilated patients. *Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events. *Manages acute trauma patients. Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit As a TJC-certified Primary Stroke Center, Critical Care nurses care for patients who have undergone a wide variety of other neuro treatments, including: -Cerebral aneurysms, aneurysm coilings and clot removal -Spinal cord injury -Seizure disorders -Treatment for traumatic brain injury -Neurosurgery -Treatment for ALS and other neuro-degenerative diseases
Education/Work Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Possession of BSN degree is preferred. One year of Cardiac ICU work experience in a Level 2 acute care setting.
Licensure/Certification:
*Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. *Current Healthcare BLS Certification. *Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
