R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Scientist. This position requires an individual with prior experience in FDA submission processes, or similar experience with a U.S. regulatory agency, including associated compliance-related activities. Responsibilities may include facilitating and organizing the compilation of submissions to government agencies in support of research and marketed products, as well as robust documentation practices to support submissions and processes. 

The incumbent will work with a Regulatory Compliance team responsible for FDA and other regulatory submissions. Additional responsibilities may include documentation development to support submission processes and utilization of hardware/software applications to facilitate electronic submissions. 

The incumbent must be able to plan and execute multiple work streams to ensure compliance deadlines are met. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the data, information, and formats required for inclusion in the submissions to government agencies are key to the role. 
Strong written and oral communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in computer-based applications. Prior experience in generating FDA electronic submissions is a plus. The incumbent must be capable of solving complex problems and possess the ability to establish relationships where little to no precedent exists. 

Requirements:
 

• BA/BS in a scientific discipline with five years minimum relevant experience.
• Previous experience in reporting to the FDA or other regulatory agency preferred

Compensation:

• Annual base salary: $73,000 - $78,000
• Targeted annual bonus: 6%
