Reporting directly for the Vice President of Sales and Branch Operations, the Business Analyst will provide data analytics in relation to the development and execution of existing and new strategic growth strategies. Develop and produce sales and financial analytical reports. Support the Pricing Director in analyzing large transactional data through Access databases, the use of macros, and other advanced Excel features. Assist in the development of tools to track performance vs. pricing and other financial KPI targets. Distill data into concise, actionable information, contributing to the formulation of defined change initiatives. This position will interact at all levels within the organization, including senior management, finance, the sales force, and support of cross-functional initiatives through interaction with other analysts. Responsibilities include: •Extract appropriate data from ERP systems for analysis in Access and Excel. Keep up-to-date with industry/market trends. •Analyze data, and identify fact-based, actionable recommendations for adjusting pricing and other business strategies through existing and new initiatives to improve financial performance. This is to include the development/refinement of market segmentation efforts based on willingness to pay, cost to serve, and general business strategy. •Assist in the development/refinement of financial models to measure profitability by product, customer, and segment. •Generate sales, pricing, and financial reports for use by senior management. Track performance vs. target for key performance indicators related to sales/pricing. •Ensure recommended strategies are actionable using current execution tools by applying working knowledge of ERP system configuration and other key business processes. •Communicate recommendations to stakeholders, including sales, finance, and management. •Prioritize assignments and work with little supervision. Qualifications: •Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution with concentration in Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline. MBA preferred. •1-3 years work experience as a business analyst or other related role. •Excellent computer skills, project management, and interpersonal communication skills. •Ability to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment, and maintain discretion with confidential information. •Strategic mindset, along with attention to detail and accuracy required. •Strong quantitative skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required including experience with Access and Excel (development of databases, analysis using pivot tables, financial modeling, and macros). •Experience with J.D. Edwards preferred.
