Position:  Senior Engineer - Combustion (Power Generation)

Location:  Detroit, Michigan area

Description:  Our client is seeking an experienced-level individual specific to fossil fuels combustion, whose typical assignments are in the areas of engineering or scientific design, problem solving, and technical support for the optimum operation and maintenance of company assets. Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of own field and related sciences or disciplines. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization to resolve important questions. Directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of a small group of professionals.

Requirements / Preferences:
 
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and seven years of job-related experience in fossil fired power plants.
·Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications applicable to specific work field/discipline.
·Ability to give presentations, manage multiple projects, train and mentor others.
·Apply and interpret industry codes and standards in related discipline.
·Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people at all levels both within and outside the company.
·Knowledge of applications, equipment, and use of systems specific to work field or discipline.
·Prefer development and presentation of technical White Papers specific to fuels/combustion topic.
