Berean Group is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer Location: Seattle, WA Job Type: Full Time Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Job Description: The Front-End Developer will write and document front-end code targeting a variety of devices, platforms and browsers. Candidates should have a solid understanding of programming principals (expert at JavaScript), scalable solutions and how they integrate with browser rendering and display. Skills & Requirements:
3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably with an agency.
Expert understanding of HTML, CSS.
Expert understanding of JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and utils.
Strong understanding of DOM, ajax, events.
Know how to be standards compliant.
Extensive knowledge in handling browser quirks through best practices.
Understanding of XML, JSON.
Understanding of UX and IA.
Understanding of scalable application development.
Experience using version control systems: Subversion.
Experience with integration between front and backend.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must live within commuting distance of Santa Monica, or be willing to relocate.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with Native App development: iOs, Android, Windows Phone.
Knowledge of any programming language or platform: C#, Action script, PHP, Java, Ruby
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development team on new initiatives/projects
Provide constructive input and creative thinking in solutions with an eye towards performance and efficiency
Write consistent, clean and maintainable code
Work with back-end team to integrate template code and CSS/design to facilitate projects
Develop rich, interactive experiences for mobile/desktop browsers
Light production work may be required to assist in asset production and transfer from design to usable dev
Participate in code reviews with constructive criticism
Utilize tracking systems to interact with PM, QA, and other team members
Document solutions with concise and clear explanations
