    Senior Materials Engineer / Metallurgist
    Located of this position is the Coffeyville, Kansas area.
    Salary is competitive with this industry and location with full benefits. Performance bonus is possible with this position and our Client has relocation assistance for the hired candidate if necessary.
    I’m seeking a Senior Materials Engineer / Metallurgist to help my Client product world class equipment.
    In this position you will have responsibility for:
    - Approving material selection for powertrain component application.
    - Failure analysis of powertrain components.
    - Powertrain design activities including gear, shaft, and bearing selection.
    - Provide general engineering materials support for all engineering projects at this facility.
    - May have specific project duties that include design and development of new powertrain concepts.
    Travel as necessary both internationally and domestically are a MUST to support this position.
    Skills necessary for the Successful hired candidate:
    - We require an excellent communicator with leadership potential who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
    - The ideally candidate will have as a minimum a Bachelors degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering with relevant failure analysis/metallurgy experience.
    In addition our Client requires:
    * 5 plus years of relevant experience utilizing metallurgical engineering principles.
    * Failure analysis experience that includes diagnosis and solution of issues in ferrous materials.
    * A strong working knowledge of power generation or power transmission components.
    * A strong candidate will also have 3 or more years of powertrain design experience in fields including, but not limited to, off-highway equipment, automotive, wind power, or aerospace; experience in PV&V procedures or system simulations; SEM experience; and an advanced technical degree.
    Travel is required for the position both domestic and international.
    All serious candidates must have authorization to work in the USA. No work VISA candidates will be considered for this position.
