Job Description:
Axeda, the leading Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) company for connected products, is looking for a passionate, creative, motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team in creating the future generations of Axeda’s market-leading ServiceLink applications and Axeda Platform. Using cutting-edge Java EE and Web 2.0 technologies, you will be an integral part of an Agile team that is producing one of the Internet’s most innovative solutions.
Job Description:
* Collaborate with cross functional Scrum team members to deliver innovative product features on a monthly basis
* Deliver full lifecycle feature development – requirements analysis, design and production code implementation with accompanying unit and integration tests
* Collaborate with product owners & other stakeholders on functional and non-functional requirements in order to deliver the appropriate technology solutions
* Prototype and assess new technologies and product concepts
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
* Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and product features
* Strong technical aptitude and object oriented design skills
* Expert in Java and related frameworks.
* Expertise in designing and delivering enterprise scale JEE solutions
* Knowledge about Struts, Spring and Hibernate is a plus
* Solid knowledge about network programming TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL, etc.
* Solid experience with Windows and Linux environments
* Experience building distributed web based applications
* Experience with Test Driven Development
* Knowledge of RDBMS and PL/SQL with Oracle highly desirable
* Software-as-a-Service product experience is a plus
* 5 to 10 years development experience with a software product company
