Job Description:
Axeda is seeking top-notch talent to take on unparalleled technical opportunities in the development of Axeda’s software service (SaaS/PaaS) solutions. You will be a leader in the Product Development organization, collaborating within one of several Agile Teams to define and implement technology solutions that enable to Axeda software services to fulfill phenomenal market and business opportunities.
Responsibilities / Duties:
* Deliver full-lifecycle feature development – requirements analysis, design and implementation with accompanying unit and integration tests
* Investigate, prototype and assess new technologies and SaaS concepts
* Innovate new cloud services concepts
* Collaborate with Product Management and the Office of the CTO on functional and non-functional requirements in order to deliver the appropriate technology solution
* Mentor team members, assisting and teaching them while carrying out their tasks
* Provide hands-on coding expertise in a variety and languages and on different platforms to build the most elegant solutions that meet business requirements
Experience / Skills:
* Significant track record of providing technical leadership in the creation of complex, cloud-based software platforms and services
* 10+ years experience in defining, architecting, and implementing complex, distributed systems
* Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb product knowledge with the end goal of being recognized as a product/service expert
* Proven expertise in object-oriented design and enterprise applications patterns
* Hands-on coding experience in Java on both Windows and Linux platforms
* Expertise in designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications for Java EE applications servers such as WebLogic and JBoss
* Proficiency with standard Java development tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Ant, Subversion, Cruise Control and jUnit.
* Proven effectiveness in mentoring senior and junior developers on the design and development of enterprise software along with unit and integration tests
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
