Senior Resource Geologist - Toronto, Canada

Our client is an up and coming gold mining company based in Toronto, Canada.
As a result of their recent growth and expansion, they are looking to appoint a Senior Resource Geologist to assist their team in the evaluation and development of new acquisitions.
 
This role will report into the VP of Exploration and includes a variety of tasks associated with the resource development side of acquisitions in Latin America. This includes but is not limited to: assisting in the evaluation of new exploration opportunities, collaborating on the development of geological models, designing and implementing exploration and resource programs, all while assisting in the direction and leading of geological field teams.
 
Some travel to sites in Latin America is required with this role, so at least a basic knowledge and understanding of Spanish would be beneficial.
 
The ideal candidate will have between 8-15 years of primarily resource geology knowledge, experience with block modelling software such as GemCom, Surpac or Datamine, and would be well versed in resource estimation and working internationally. The client welcomes those with a background in exploration, but stresses that resource estimation and modelling as well as NI43-101 reporting is essential.
