Senior Scientist SME

Logos Technologies, Inc. (Logos) is a technology research and development firm headquartered near the Ballston metro station in Arlington, VA. The company seeks a Senior Scientist SME. The position is available immediately. Compensation and benefits are exceptional and based on qualifications.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a government R&D organization focused on advanced topics in remote sensing. Having a strong desire to do research in support of mission oriented topics is needed. Must be self-motivated and require very little supervision or direction in support of the government customer and enjoy the “fruits of your labor” knowing the advancement of cutting edge technology is at hand. Willingness and ability to conduct field experiments and support testing required.

 Responsibilities:

• Providing mathematical solutions to geospatial intelligence problems, computer modeling,
  programming, and performing sub-pixel analysis and processing
• Strong background in the intelligence or defense industry is desire
• Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work
  effectively in a diverse R&D prototyping environment

• Highly skilled PhD level scientist with a physics,mathematics or related engineering background
• Practical working knowledge of computer modeling, programming, and geospatial science experience
  required
• This includes knowledge and experience with photogrammetry, image processing, and remote sensing
