Senior Sourcing Manager – Process Equipment

Summary
CLIENT is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to be responsible for $100M in category spend for procurement of process equipment. The individual is responsible for category management, supplier management, development and implementation of category strategies across function teams and relevant business units.

Responsibilities

Category management for process equipment, to include:

Self-directed with capability to develop and lead category strategies
Supplier management
Contract negotiations
Risk management
Leverage indices on raw materials and labor
Facilitate dispute resolution
Explore alternative suppliers through global sourcing

Develop and communicate a clear understanding of strategic sourcing initiatives with the related implementation plan and value
Foster and leverage relationships with engineering, operations and maintenance teams along with external suppliers
Demonstrate leadership in procurement best practices
Interact with senior management team through formal and informal communications

Qualifications
REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in purchasing or sourcing of capital process equipment
Willing and able to travel approximately 25%

PREFERRED:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business
Experience with manufacturing, maintenance or operations of process equipment in an industrial environment preferably pulp and paper
Experience with legal and commercial terms and negotiating equipment procurement contracts
Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification or experience managing procurement efforts on large projects
Capable of developing strategic positions for the procurement of process equipment with a platform approach
Experience interacting and leading cross functional teams
