Social Worker, LICSW

Our client is seeking a Clinical Manager for programs within a Core Services Agency.  The  clinical manager  will serve as a team leader provides comprehensive mental health services and administrative oversight.    The Team leader is responsible for the organization and administration of one specialized segment of these mental health services and for establishing linkages with other service area programs and with key service agencies within the District.  The incumbent directs and coordinates the planning and rendering of services through multi-disciplinary personnel including psychiatrist, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, social workers and mental health counselors/Community Support Workers. The incumbent is required to have a Master’s Degree in Human services field, counseling, social work, psychology, or other related field. The incumbent is required to be a Qualified Practitioner (QP); however an Approving Qualified Practitioner (AQP) is preferred.

 MAJOR DUTIES

Plans and develops a range of basic mental health services in assigned area of responsibility, e.g., ACT, outpatient, Community Support Programs, etc. 

n                  Plans, directs, and develops programs within MHRS certification guidelines. 

n                  Provides direct services when needed and ensures compliance with agency requirements for progress noting, treatment plan development, super bills, and DMH authorizations

n                  Reviews agencies findings within quality improvement system and makes recommendation for reallocates resources and staff if necessary. 

n                  Provide direct supervision for program staff.

n                  Provides written reports as needed.

n                  Provides personnel evaluations for staff within program area.

n                  Establishes linkages with other District public service agencies in order to coordinate preventive, treatment and rehabilitative services.

n                  Recommend and develop evidenced based practice training for Community Support Workers

n                  Participate and promote the integration of clinical and community support services

n                  Provide oversight for clinical and billable services and conduct quality review and monitoring of charts on a random quarterly basis.

Provides a range of mental health services to consumers enrolled at the Agency

n                  Conducts unit meeting with staff members. 

n                  Meets individually with team members to plan and review treatment and rehabilitation goals and advice on resolution of problems related to providing direct services to consumers.

n                  Personally provides MHRS services to selected individual consumers within scope of practice.

The Team Manager is responsible for the organization, supervision and administration of all mental health services provided by the assigned program(s).

n                  Provides supervision and meets individually with all staff for purposes of general clinical/administrative supervision.

n                  Conducts regularly schedules multidisciplinary conferences for review of treatment planning.

n                  Established objectives and performance standards for assigned programs and evaluates performance of all staff.

Requirements
 

• Must have LICSW, LPC, APRN or licensed PhD in the District of Columbia.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
