Software Engineer

RPS ASA is currently seeking a Level II Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience developing desktop applications. Successful candidates will work with a growing team on projects to integrate GIS, environmental data, and numerical models on Windows platforms. The Candidate will primarily be responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of existing VB6 map-based desktop applications, in particular: OilMap, SARMap and ChemMap.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years intensive programming experience, preferably working with Visual Basic 6.0
- Excellent problem solving skills, detail-oriented
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and within groups
- Must be able to learn new skills quickly, independently
- Bachelors degree required
- GIS experience a plus
