POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate has worked in a manufacturing environment and with a small fast growing company.  The Senior Accountant assists the Accounting department in creating timely and accurate financial statements, administer all facets of payroll, billing and special financial projects. The Senior Accountant forecasts and analyzes payroll related budgets, audits expenses and executes special projects. The Senior Accountant is a professional with the skills, judgment and qualities of leadership that the profession demands.  Working closely with the office staff and Gibson Athletics’ professional and administrative employees, the Senior Accountant completes the day-to-day execution of assigned projects or projects he/she generates. The Senior Accountant must establish and maintain effective working relationships with new and existing employees and internal and external clients through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal/ communication skills.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES 

•               Performs month-end and year-end close

•               Prepares journal entries on a monthly basis

•               Reconciles general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

•               Performs bank reconciliations on a monthly basis

•               Processing of monthly Sales/Use Tax

•               Performs an internal audit and report results to Executive Staff and Owner

•               Produces various financial reports as needed

•               Performs duties related to payroll processing bi-weekly

•               Manage relationship with Human Resources Benefits provider

•               Generates various reports as requested by management

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•               BA or BS degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or Related Field

•               3 - 5 years of successful total experience

•               Manufacturing and small company experience a plus

•               Strong communication skills

•               Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

•               Some Knowledge of ERP systems (Macola, SAP, etc.) a plus

 

COMPENSATION

A competitive salary is offered depending on experience. Bonus is achievable for additional compensation- to be earned through exceptional performance. Excellent benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401(K) Plan; details will be provided to final candidates.
