Sub/ Sub-to-Teach for Christian Childcare Center

    Job Description:

    COMPENSATION:
    $10.00/hour

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    - Must love kids
    - Must love the idea of working with a non-profit ministry/outreach
    - Must have a good work ethic
    - Must be able to pass a background check

    DUTIES:
    - Subbing for a Teacher or Aide classroom position (Hours of Operation M-F 6am-6pm)
    - On-call and/or planned absence substitute (Average 5-40HPW)
    - Leading or Assisting a Lead Teacher with a Classroom (Ages 6 weeks - 6 years)
    - Implementing or assisting a teacher with curriculum
    - Running or helping at meal times
    - Supervising a rest time
    - General Clean-Up of Classroom at day's end
    - Sub-to-teach: As soon as permanent position opens that you'd like to fill, we'll move you into a permanent position

    STATE QUALIFICATIONS
    (Substitute Teachers (not Aides) need to be qualified by state standards. Teachers can qualify in ONE (1) of the following ways):

    Option #1. A 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development or Child
    Psychology. No additional experience required.

    Option #2. A 4 year degree in an unrelated field. ECE 101 and another ECE courses must be taken. (We can help you get these classes.) PLUS six (6) months (910 hours) of verified experience.

    Option # 3. An associate’s (2 year) degree in early childhood education. At least two (2) three semester hour courses, one of which must be either
    be "Introduction to Early Childhood Education" or "Guidance Strategies" or an equivalent course approved by the State of Colorado. PLUS six (6) months (910 hours) of verified experience.

    Option # 4. A current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certified Child Care Professional (CCP) or other Department approved
    credential. No college course work required. No additional experience required.

    Option # 5. Twelve (12) semester hours of college-level credits at either a two-year, four-year or graduate level in Early Childhood Education one of which must be either be "Introduction to Early Childhood Education" or "Guidance Strategies" or an equivalent course approved by the State of Colorado. PLUS nine (9) months (1395 hours) of verified experience.

    Option # 6. Completion of a vocational or occupational education sequence in child growth and development. No college course work required. PLUS
    12 months (1820 hours) of verified experience.

    Option #7. Completion of a course of training approved by the department that includes training and work experience with children in A child growth and
    development program. PLUS twelve (12) months (1,820 hours) of verified experience.

    Option # 8. A current Colorado Level I teaching credential (tests can be taken at Colorado Community Colleges in June and August of each year). PLUS Twenty-four (24) months (3640 hours) of verified experience.

    Option # 9. Two (2) 3 credit Early Childhood college courses at a two-year, four-year or graduate level with one being "Introduction to ECE" or "Guidance Strategies". PLUS Twenty-four (24) months (3640 hours) of verified
    experience.

    We are a FAST-GROWING, Pro-Life/Pro-Family, Non-Profit, Inner City Outreach & Ministry to At-Risk Kids. Based out of a local Christian non-denominational church, we have 2 childcare centers, serving children ages 6 weeks - 13 years, located in central Colorado Springs.
