Surgical Services Director – Thousand Oaks, CA Surgical Services Director is a registered nurse reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer in a 365-bed acute care facility. Position Requirements: The director will be responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily operations of the service line or departments within the assigned function. The Director assures that the highest quality of care is provided in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, as well as other regulations that govern the facility. The Director will be over the following units:
OR, OPSU, PACU, GI Lab
Number of OR's
7 OR, 2 CVOR (Open Heart), 1 Cysto
Approx. Number of Cases per year = 5000
Position Requirements:
-Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at BSN degree required; Master's degree preferred
Current RN license by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR Card
Current ACLS
Certifications may be obtained within first six months of hire with prior COO approval
Three - five years of Surgical Services management experience
Required a minimum of one-year clinical experience in specialty preferred
Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership aptitude, competency, and qualities
