Skills Required: Presentation and technical experience, in one or more of the following
fields:
• Asset Management
• Reliability
• Planning and Scheduling
• Commissioning and Start-up
• Project Management
• Operational Excellence
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Job Description: This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years experience with proven success in a technical training delivery role where concise and accurate verbal communications as well as active listening are critical skills.
Must possess strong presentation skills and the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects with moderate guidance from management.
Must be capable of teaching technical classes in multiple technical subjects as
listed above, predominantly for petro-chemical industry workers but will vary to other industries as well.
Preference is for an experienced presenter however technical instructors are authority figures, similar to the way teachers are. To earn student respect, they must be of higher authority than their students. In the world of technical instruction, higher authority comes from having more technical knowledge and practical experience than students.
Some travel is required and may also be consulted for technical services on occasion.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Deliver public and on-site technical training
•Participate in projects as assigned and deliver training to team on specific projects
•Perform needs analysis for new courses
•Develop/maintain courseware on new and existing courses
•Participate as a subject matter expert on projects as directed
•Lend support to training logistics when needed
•Participate in product meetings
•Complete all projects and assignments on time
